A Super Perigee Full Moon in Virgo
Healing Intentions for our Planet and Ourselves

This month’s Full Moon will be especially large and beautiful as it rises in the east while the Sun is setting.  Super “perigee Moons” occur four to six times a year and Astrologers have noted that a greater percentage of Earth-related events occur within three days either way of a Super Moon alignment.  

This month’s Full Moon emphasizes Virgo’s infamous holy trinity – the integration of body, mind, and spirit. Virgo is one of the Earth signs that holds a special affinity for all things related to our planet and her depiction honors the sacredness of Earth’s bounty as she lifts the wheat staff in her hand. We are sure to feel her archetypal nervousness during these next few days due to the current vulnerability of our planet.

During this Full Moon you will want to contemplate how well you have integrated the Virgo holy trinity within your own life.  If we lose awareness and ignore any one of these three sacred elements we can find ourselves in a Virgo crisis.  On a collective level we continue to witness the lost connection of the human species with its Earthly body, the universal mind, and spirit.  The current evolution of Earth and humanity is referred to by the Mayan’s: as "The Shift of the Ages." This revealing truth is occurring day-by-day with the increase in natural disasters as Gaia attempts to rebalance herself.   

You may recall that earlier this month I wrote in the Pisces New Moon Astro-Gram that Pisces and Virgo are the two zodiac signs associated with healing.  The Full Moon is occurring in opposition to the Sun in Pisces and the Sun will remain in Pisces through the 20^th of March.  This Virgo Super-Moon is an especially auspicious time to continue to focus your energy, prayers, and healing intentions towards your own personal life, Japan, and our entire planet. 

Following is a Native Earth Healing Prayer that embodies Virgo’s healing intentions:

O Great Creator,
I come before you in a humble manner and offer you this sacred pipe.
With tears in my eyes and an ancient song from my heart
I pray.

To the four powers of Creation,
To the Grandfather Sun,
To the Grandmother Moon,
To the Mother Earth,
And to my ancestors.

I pray for my relations in Nature,
All those who walk, crawl, fly, and swim,
Seen and unseen,
To the good spirits that exist in every part of Creation.

I ask that you bless our elders and children and families and friends,
And the brothers and sisters in prison.
I pray for the ones who are sick on drugs and alcohol
And for those homeless and forlorn.
I also pray for peace among the four races of humankind.

May there be good health and healing for this Earth,
May there be Beauty above me,
May there be Beauty below me,
May there be Beauty in me,
May there be Beauty around me.
I ask that this world be filled with Peace, Love and Beauty.
